Ugly game ends Sox chance for sweep

That was not pretty … and not all that fun to watch either.

Too walky for me, on both sides. The White Sox and Angels combined for 11 base on balls, far too many for any game to be overly compelling. If it weren’t for the constant barrage of home runs, or ability to fast-forward on DVR, I doubt I would’ve been able to make it all the way through the game.

Besides the walks slowing the pace of the game, this series was finally was similar to this weekend’s Yankees finale. Playing against a team as good as the Angels or the Yankees, misplays in the field (two physical errors and a mental error) combined with a subpar start equals a bad loss.

Even worse for the Sox in this game, the Angels tossed in four home runs to go with the miscues to really hand it to the Sox.

Today was bad, but at least tomorrow the Sox get a break and face the Indians.
