Chicago Bears, Game Preview

A link of Rams’ Previews

No Bears preview today from me, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to leave you for the weekend without a ton of information and insight about the Rams/Bears game. Hopefully, this here handful of links provides the correct amount of excitement for Bears/Rams; every writer, blogger, reporter in both towns is searching for something.

I haven’t seen who the announcer is going to be, but I’m thinking Dick Stockton. Many Adolfo Soriano will be in attendance.

O-Line of the future

Chris Williams will be at left tackle, where we’ll see what he can do at his natural position. It sounds like Kevin Shaffer will be at right tackle. Personally, I’d rather see Frank Omiyale move to right tackle (where he played when with the Panthers).

We all know Omiyale can’t play guard, and I’m sure the Bears don’t want four years and $11.5 million in bad contract sitting on the bench. So why not move Omiyale to his natural position? If Williams and Omiyale are serviceable at both tackle spots (and for the Bears’ to give him over $10 million Omiyale must be serviceable somewhere), it makes me feel a little better about the offensive line heading into next season. This could be embarrassing

For two straight games, the Rams are playing against the NFL’s worst rushing team. Last week, Justin Forsett and the Seahawks ran for 170 yards against the Rams; now they’re no longer the worst rushing team in the league. That honor belongs to the Bears now. Not a good year for D-Line coaches

Steve Spagnuolo is a defensive line expert. The Rams defensive line sucks.

Rams fans are an understanding tribe

No one likes a 1-10 season, but Rams fans are at least understanding. This is from Andy Dapron’s blog Rams Fanatic:

“We have been willing to endure more setbacks on the field, as long as the Rams show signs that they are working hard and improving.”

Nope, can’t say I’ve heard these words from a Bears fan.
